ruyangosaurus

Classification: Saurichsia, sauropod

Body length: 30 m

Body weight: 85 t

Epoch: Late Cretaceous

Locations: Asia

Ruyangosaurus was one of the largest dinosaurs that have ever walked on Earth. A grown dinosaur was about 25 000 times larger than its cub.

Due to its size, ruyangosaurus was very slow, walking at about 8 km/h speed. Based on the fossils found, scientists believe that the skin of these dinosaurs was covered in small, bead-like scales. Ruyangosaurus could stand on the back legs and then trample its attacker with the front legs. Rugyangosaurus was a herbivore.

Due to its size, this dinosaur used to eat tree leaves.
